There are only two seasons in Sao Tome and Principe
The dry season, called gravana, from June to September, but it is slightly perceptible in more humid regions.
The raining season that goes from October to May.
The Exposure to the prevailing winds during Gravana makes the south side of Sao Tome island, as well as Principe, much more rainy than the north side. During the raining season, two maximum precipitation values are identified: the lowest occurs in November and the highest in April, intersected by a shorter period, locally referred as gravanito, that generally takes place in January. During the month of July, the coldest period of the year in the archipelago, it is most likely to have some precipitation. The average temperature on these islands remains approximately in 25 ° C with a few variations.
